It was great to see after the landmark change in Law on 31st March 2014 that same sex couples can now choose to have a full legal Wedding as well as a Civil Partnership.
And within an hour of opening for business today I took my first booking to perform at a Gay Wedding (as opposed to a Civil Partnership). I’m over the moon and thanks to Matthew and Oliver for the booking. Coincidentally they became engaged whilst eating at the famous Alnwick Treehouse where I am recommended supplier.

Same Sex Weddings do sometimes provide a different challenge. Whereas these days one would hope that all of our family and friends accept us regardless of our views, beliefs or preferences sadly this isn’t always the case. Sometimes a gay wedding can have a small shadow over it due to loved ones not being present because of their religious or other beliefs. Sometimes this is a minor thing, other times it can be a major factor – in fact I have even worked with Couples on a ‘secret’ wedding where some of the families are not even aware. These occasions require a sensitivity, empathy and a determination to ensure that those who have shown their support are rewarded with an amazing day.
So whatever your requirements, your situation or your designs for your wedding please get in touch – I’ll be delighted to chat with you and see if I can help your wedding to be the Best Ever – a truly unique, fun and memorable occasion
