Moodlighting

LED Uplighting – Highly effective venue lighting and decor

LED Uplighting, also called Mood Lighting, Theme Matching, Colour Wash and other names, is a highly effective way of making any venue look fantastic – even if it already does! You can paint your venue with light!

When I introduced Moodlighting to the North East even I was unprepared for just what an incredible difference it would bring to Weddings and Functions in the fantastic venues we have in this beautiful part of the UK. It is flattering to see how many other DJs in the North East attempt to copy the services and products which I provide, but none can provide the attention to detail or the empathy I have for making our gorgeous venues even more stunning, nor the passion I bring to making your special day both perfect and unique.

Moodlighting is set to provide floods or accents of light on walls and ceilings, in a wide variety of colours and shades. Even the most stunning of rooms is rarely the right colour for your event, whether it is the carpet, walls or generally flat lighting. Moodlighting brings the room to life, complementing your own theme, or creating a brand new one! You can have them all the same colour or series of colours, or with alternate units running a chase. Or they can be set to just run through a pre-programmed series of colour changes – either all fully synchronised or individually!

Units can be positioned either equally around a room, spaced closely for a constant colour, wider for a more dramatic effect or can be positioned to highlight room architecture or natural ‘flow’ for the most effective atmosphere. We can place the units where you want them, or use our creativity and empathy with venues to site the moodlighting most effectively.

Photographs really don’t do justice to the effect – it has to be seen to be believed. I have tried to include photos of a variety of colours, rooms and events to show how versatile moodlighting is. Perfect for Ceremonies, Wedding Breakfasts, Evening Functions – in fact pretty much any event!

Moodlighting is cost-effective, highly desirable and brings any venue to life. Compared with Chair Covers, Balloons and table decorations it represents amazing value!

LED Lights are cool to the touch so are safe around children (no burnt fingers!), and don’t make the venue hot! They are also environmentally friendly, low wattage and LED Technology

LED Lights are extremely energy efficient (approximately 25watts each as opposed to 300watts). Over 100 of these units can be connected to a single 13a socket!

LED Lights can be programmed to any of more than 64,000 colours via 255 steps each of Red, Blue and Green!

LED Uplighting is a simply magical way to transform a venue, and is particularly effective in marquees. It is perfect for Weddings, Presentations, Conferences or anywhere you want something special!

This is a fully-managed service. We supply and install the lighting, set it up and remove it at the end of the event. We can also program and monitor any required chases or patterns, just ask for details

Basically, if you want to personalise, enhance or transform any venue – mood lighting is the way to do it! With our design help and commitment to quality we can help you have a totally unique day

Here are a few examples of what mood lighting can do.

Guyzance Hall. Another fabulous venue set in 800 acres of Northumberland Estate. Jane and Jules wanted to personalise the Ballroom with Autumnal colours to match their Beautiful floral arrangements complete with candlelit pumpkins for their Halloween Wedding. We had been to survey Guyzance and loved the layout and sympathetic restoration, but knew immediately that our Moodlighting would transform it yet again

These photos show the lovely room, but without the benefit of tables and wedding decor – and of course our lights!

After the tables and chairs were in, crisp linen and smart cutlery added, beautiful floral arrangements and our Moodlighting it looked liked this.

As I’m sure you will agree, Guyzance Hall looks even more beautiful, elegant and sophisticated.

Jane and Jules were certainly impressed, as were their guests. It was a fantastic Wedding set in beautiful surroundings, with great people.

Wynyard Hall is a simply spectacular venue by any stretch of the imagination, but the cool greens of the conservatory don’t suit every colour theme. This is a photo taken during the day showing some Moodlighting in Orange adding a little warmth to the room. Claire and Brian were most impressed!

Of course, as it gets dark the atmosphere changes yet again and the gorgeous conservatory at Wynyard Hall takes on a warm, rich and sophisticated atmosphere which compliments the décor perfectly!

Here is a close up of the effect – I’m sure you will agree it is fantastic!

When Rob and Nicole booked fantastic Alnwick Garden for their wedding they could see how the strong lines and glass walls and roof would give them the perfect opportunity to tastefully blend the room into their subtle pink colour scheme. Delicate flowers with 2 pinks, set into gorgeous electric pink stemmed long vases atop crisp white linen set off by black accents. Nicole was almost at a loss for words to describe just how dramatic the effect was, and the photos really don’t do justice to the real wow factor for this incredible and elegant wedding.

As you can see from the outside, the lighting gives a fantastic effect, literally making the Alnwick Garden Pavilion glow right to the roof!

Longhirst Hall, Morpeth. Pippa and Adam had chosen an elegantly simple table decor of a single Red Rose in a stem vase, surrounded by a heart of red Rose Petals on white linen. As the room didn’t really lend itself to this colour we installed a series of mood lights along the rear wall set to Red. This transformed the room and received many comments from guests and venue management. Pippa and Adam were also delighted with their choice. The change in atmosphere as dusk fell was dramatic.

Joanne and Stewart chose beautiful Seaham Hall for their Wedding Reception but were worried that the dark green walls would be too sombre and dull for their elegant but subtle colour scheme. They chose to have the Ballroom lit in a lighter Green to lift the mood and add life and atmosphere to the room

Joanne particularly wanted that ‘Wow’ factor for when guests entered the room. She certainly got it, and was delighted with the result.

Jane & Chris chose fabulous Slaley Hall for their Wedding. Although the Kielder Suite is beautiful, they were having trouble tying the room in with their chosen table decor of Blue and White Balloons and gorgeous, fragrant Lilies in elegant long vases with a blue light in the base.

As you can see, adding Moodlighting set to Blue has transformed the room into something quite spectacular! It truly is one of those things which appears to be able to improve any room – even those which were beautiful to start with!

And I’m sure you will agree – the atmosphere is incredible. Subtle, elegant and rich, yet extremely cost-effective.

Sorry – I couldn’t resist showing another photo of the Kielder Suite at Slaley Hall after we had weaved our lighting magic!

Faye and Richard were struggling to find the right venue decor to match the aquamarine they had chosen for their beautiful Bridesmaid Michelle’s dress. When we matched the swatch perfectly Faye booked the moodlighting to go right around Alnwick Garden’s impressive Pavilion. It certainly gave the wow factor, especially as the night drew in!
